We understand the importance of a new game release optimally performing in real-world situations. Covering a full range of testing requirements, Keywords’ Global Beta Test Network (GBTN) performs structured live-play scenario tests across all major game platforms and devices.
With 20,000 active, professional gamers in 40+ countries, our private and exclusive community conducts beta testing prior to major game releases and can also gather information on issues found post-release. It provides valuable user experience feedback as well as identifying functionality, connectivity and performance issues under real-world networking conditions.
The GBTN Community is a group of gamers and fans of games from around the world selected by Keywords. The community participates in private betas via their own personal consoles and ISP’s in their home environments, thoroughly testing games in a controlled manner and ‘in the wild’ immediately before the game goes live. All members have been onboarded through Keywords’ formal processes and have agreed to, and signed, our non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
GBTN provides a range of multiplayer solutions for our clients including:
• Server load testing and concurrency scaling
• Geolocation and cross-region connectivity testing
• Synchronous gameplay and performance handling
• User feedback collection
• Customisable reports tailored to our clients’ needs
• End-user experience simulation through retail hardware and personal networks
The GBTN team collaborates with our clients to create an optimised test plan for their title; it then coordinates the GBTN community network for simultaneous login and game play. All usable test data and feedback is then filtered to provide our clients with the information and telemetry required to determine their games’ readiness for release. This service is not just for the initial launch but a service that can be embedded into updated and related patch strategies.
