At Keywords Studios, we have always been committed to conducting our business responsibly, operating to the highest standards of honesty, integrity and ethical conduct.

We take our wider corporate responsibility seriously and are conscious of the role our business plays in our communities and in the impact our business has on the environment.

We are proud of the thousands of Keywordians, across 22 countries of operations, for upholding the highest standards and behaving in accordance with our “Keywords Rule of 9” as we engage and grow with our work colleagues, our customers and our communities.

We have identified six responsible business priorities of People, Diversity & Inclusion, Customer Centricity & Innovation, Communities and the Environment, underpinned by Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. We have also mapped our priority areas to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as set out in the Responsible Business report within our 2020 Annual Report.

During 2020, we made good progress on our priority areas:

  • Global Diversity & Inclusivity Council established
  • Code of Business Conduct, refreshed and relaunched
  • Keywords Cares matching program launched
  • US$500,000 hardship fund put in place to support colleagues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Quantified our greenhouse gas emissions scope 1 and 2 emissions for the first time

To monitor our progress going forward, we have established an Environmental, Social and Governance Board Committee and are also in the process of establishing regional committees to ensure that initiatives are rolled out and fully embedded throughout our local studios.

The committee recognises there is more work to be done but we have established a solid base and look forward to reporting on the progress in each of our priority areas.
