Role overview

We are on the lookout for an experienced Community Manager with social media expertise who will help us drive content strategy and player engagement for one of the greatest historical strategy games in the world. You’ll be working closely with Marketing and PR Professionals, Game Developers and others within the Player Engagement team to create community engagement and retention plans, execute those plans, and report on results. You’ll be creative, focused on creating great content and engagement and understand gaming communities and what makes them tick! Communication:

  • Engage both proactively and responsively with community members on owned social channels using the brand voice 
  • Invent and execute self-driven community content campaigns in accordance with set strategies, measure results, and modify campaigns based on feedback 
  • Help create engaging copy for social content as well as blogs (occasionally) 

Analytics:

  • Report on success of social engagement strategies, community sentiment and develop data-backed recommendations to drive engagement 
  • Monitor and report on sentiment, engagement, and opportunities for activations on both owned and unowned discussion channels 

Leadership:

  • Collaborate with others on the Player Engagement team to create a content schedule for all the game’s social and web channels based on production beats 
  • Maintain and execute that publishing schedule, including managing creation of visual and written assets, and curation of user-generated content 

Business:

  • Assist the team in other related areas of Player Engagement work like moderation on Discord and Forums 

You'd be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 4+ years experience in managing online communities within the gaming space.
  • You are based in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) or Pacific Time (PT) zone
  • Strong understanding and experience across various social media platforms, ensuring seamless community engagement.
  • An eye for quality and attention to detail to deliver high-caliber social content in both written and visual media, seizing the opportunity to create great social moments  
  • Experience creating and executing content publishing schedules, ideally for games, media outlets, and/or corporate product cycles 
  • Proven ability to collaborate across different messaging and development disciplines 
  • Customer focused mindset and a flair for communicating with customers tactfully and respectfully in a public forum 
  • Excellent written communication skills; ability to communicate in an inclusive manner with a global audience 
  • Constant drive to learn and be adaptable to ever-changing surroundings and community trends

Nice-to-haves:

  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and/or other content creation software helpful 
  • Proficiency with website CMS 
  • Experience with social listening and reporting tools

• Once you submit your test, the assessment will take approximately 3-7 working days to be evaluated.

• If you successfully pass the test - we’ll invite you for the online Interview via MS Teams with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists. It’s a perfect chance to exchange questions and get to know each other better. If successful then there will be a second/third interview with a Team Lead or an Operations Manager.

• At the end of our journey - hopefully you will receive an offer and become our new Keywordian!
