Keywords Studios is delighted to announce that CEO Andrew Day has been named as a finalist for the 2019 EY Entrepreneur of the Year in the International Category.
He will join the rest of this year’s 24 finalists and more than 60 EY Entrepreneur of the Year alumni for a week of executive education and corporate insights in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Macau this month.
Now in its 22nd year, the programme is recognised as a world-class development initiative that supports, promotes and connects a community of entrepreneurs, championing commerce around the world.
Commenting on the nomination, Day, said: “Keywords was founded in Dublin, Ireland in 1998, embarking on our journey in international markets in 2009. From 50 people in Dublin we have grown over the last 10 years to employ over 6,000 people in 21 countries.
“I am immensely proud to have led this remarkable company through this time and am looking forward to further growth ahead.
“This award from EY and my inclusion in the Entrepreneur of the Year programme is an indicator of the success my fellow Keywordians have achieved as we have built this great business together.”
This year’s finalists were shortlisted from more than 120 nominations.
Anne Heraty, Chair of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year judging panel said: “As with every year, the standard of nominees has been incredibly strong.
“The judging panel always has a very tough job trying to reach a shortlist of 24 finalists but it is fantastic to see a wide range of different industries represented.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Dublin in November.
