You’ll be based out of our state-of-the-art studio located in the heart of the beautiful Albert Dock in Liverpool overlooking the Harbour.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Mo Cap Animator, you will create high-quality animation using performance capture data for characters, creatures, and cinematic scenes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of passionate and experienced developers on a AAA project.

Experience & Requirements

  

  • Experience working as a Technical/ Mo Cap Animator on at least one published AAA console title.
  • Extensive experience with MotionBuilder and Maya,
  • Proven experience with mocap clean up tools.
  • Understanding of human anatomy, body/ creature mechanics, and all animation principles.
  • Proven experience working within Unreal Engine 5.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, process, and retarget captured data to digital character rigs.
  • Collaborate with directors, animators, and tech artists to refine performance quality.
  • Integrate animations into the engines.
  • Troubleshoot mo cap rigs, and markers etc.
  • Ensure animation quality meets artistic and technical standards across all assets.
  • Work with the wider art, design and code teams to champion best technical practices.
  • As part of reviews, able to provide constructive critique and solutions.
  • Ability to self-motivate as-well-as motivate other members of the team .
