3D Modeller/ Artist (UK-based 12 month Fixed Term Contract)

Climax is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with an outstanding line of top published titles. You’ll be based out of our brand new, state of the art studio at Lakeside North Harbour set in stunning 130-acre landscaped grounds in Portsmouth.

We are looking for a multi-talented UK based 3D Modeller/ Artist with proven experience in generating realistic textures & props, with solid Maya. Blender & Substance skills. Proven experience in generating a diverse range of styles, technical expertise with current gen’ technology and / or illustration skills are certainly of benefit.

Experience & Requirements

  • Solid experience creating realistic style props, substance material and texture creation
  • Creative and self motivated
  • Strong and versatile modelling skills
  • Experience using Maya
  • Experience using Substance
  • Experience using Blender
  • Extremely quality oriented
  • Some experience setting up LOD's
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • An artistic education to at least graduate level
  • Strong folio including examples of realistic modelling and environment

Responsibilities

  • Create optimized props, collision and LOD's to aid performance
  • Create AAA PBR materials and textures using Substance
  • Critique and iterate in a group
  • Follow and recreate established art styles
  • Reliably demonstrate an aptitude for the platform technology, asset discipline and pipeline processes
