Apply

At Keywords Studios we know accounting is about precision, compliance, and responsibility - but we also know it’s about the people. We’re a hardworking team that handles a lot, but we do it together. We celebrate our wins, learn from mistakes, drink coffee when things get intense, and sometimes talk about life between closing the books.

Now, we’re looking for a Chief Accountant who will not only bring their expertise to the table but will also be the heart of our team - someone who will lead, support, laugh, and grow with us.

Benefits

  • Work-life balance - we respect your time and energy
  • Private medical care - because your health comes first
  • Leisure zones in the office - coffee, comfy chairs, and space to recharge
  • Access to a cafeteria system - tailor your benefits the way you like
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - confidential support from specialists in legal, financial, and mental health matters
  • Supportive and open-minded team - where your ideas and input are truly valued
  • A human workplace - where yes, there’s a lot to do, but you never do it alone
  • Coffee, talks, and mutual support - because we know people need breaks, not just deadlines

Experience & Requirements

We're not just looking for someone to "do the numbers." We're looking for a vital part of the bigger picture. A person who will help us grow stronger, smarter, and more connected - one balance sheet (and one coffee) at a time.

  • Solid experience in accounting - you've been through year-end closings, audits, tax returns, and financial statements more than a few times, and you know how to keep calm even when the deadlines are intense.
  • Strong leadership skills - you enjoy working with people, guiding them, helping them grow, and creating an atmosphere where the team feels supported and motivated.
  • Excellent knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards (PSR) - and if you’re also familiar with IFRS, that’s a big plus.
  • Confidence in taxes and compliance - you understand VAT, CIT, transfer pricing, MDR, and you know how to keep things safe, clean, and transparent.
  • A process-oriented mindset - you’re someone who doesn’t just follow procedures, but actively improves them.
  • Analytical thinking - you can see beyond numbers and draw insights that help drive decisions.
  • Communication skills - you can explain complex financial matters to non-financial colleagues with clarity and patience.
  • A collaborative spirit - you know how to work cross-functionally, and you’re not afraid to ask, listen, support, and challenge when needed.
  • A sense of humor and balance - you take your work seriously, but not yourself. You know when to push, when to pause, and when to pour another coffee.

Responsibilities:

  • Making sure our financial reporting is on point- fully compliant with Polish standards (PSR), and IFRS if applicable.
  • Leading the accounting team - guiding and supporting both accountants and other finance staff.
  • Overseeing tax returns - VAT, CIT, and others, making sure everything’s accurate and timely.
  • Owning the closing processes - including annual reports and coordinating monthly/year-end closures.
  • Representing us during audits and tax inspections - being the confident face of our finance department.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting - giving management insights, not just numbers.
  • Implementing and refining internal controls - making sure our processes are as solid as our team spirit.
  • Keeping up with the law - monitoring updates in tax, accounting, and labor regulations, and making sure we adapt.
  • Overseeing the General Ledger - reviewing entries and accounting reconciliations.
  • Watching over receivables and keeping accounts payables in check
  • Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing (TP) and mandatory disclosure rules (MDR).
