Fumiko Okura joins Keywords Studios in Tokyo as General Manager

Keywords Studios is delighted to announce that Fumiko Okura has joined its Tokyo studio as General Manager.

Christopher M. Kennedy, who was previously serving as both General Manager in Tokyo and Regional Managing Director for Asia, will continue his role as Asia director.

Fumiko has more than 15 years of experience in the video games industry, having served in roles such as Localization Manager and Business Development Director for Ubisoft and Take Two Interactive.

She has contributed to the localization of the Assassin’s Creed series, Rainbow Six series and release of Grand Theft Auto V in the Japanese market. 

 “I am delighted for the opportunity to join Keywords Studios as General Manager in Tokyo, a company that offers such a wide array of services in the game industry,” Fumiko said of her appointment. 

“Keywords Studios is here to help all game creators with development, Localization, QA, Player Support, and other services. 

“I will be working closely with all the service lines to increase collaboration and strengthen our value contribution to our clients.”

Established in 2009, the Tokyo studio delivers support for clients around the full game development cycle and has helped dozens of AAA franchises and titles launch in Japan and throughout Asia, including Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Endpoint, Code: D-blood and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated.

The Tokyo studio currently boasts 400-plus passionate and highly skilled specialists from 20 nationalities working in various disciplines across all major gaming platforms.
