Staff Spotlight: Join Keywords Studios in Japan to celebrate Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2022!

Fumiko Okura, Regional Director for Asia, shares her thoughts on the upcoming Tokyo Rainbow Pride festival and its importance to the Keywords' team.

At Keywords Studios in Japan, we have grown to reflect the diversity of the gaming industry worldwide and are now a truly multinational workplace. As Regional Director for Asia, one of my most important missions, and one I'm extremely passionate about, is to foster and enhance inclusivity in our diverse working environments. With more than 400 employees from 40 different countries working with us here in Japan, it is crucial that everyone feels respected and valued for who they are.

With that in mind, we’re delighted to share that this year we are participating in “Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2022”, one of Japan’s largest LGBTQ+ community celebrations, which will be held from April 22nd-24th. For many of the team, myself included, this is the first time we’ve had the opportunity to be involved in this great event and we couldn’t be more excited to represent the global Keywords family in person across the weekend. For those who can’t make it to Tokyo, feel free to show your support for us online!

This is an incredibly important step in our journey as we continue to actively embrace diversity, equality and inclusion at Keywords. We will keep striving together in everything we do to build an even brighter future for all.
