Climax Studios Levels Up With Expansion into Scotland

35-year-strong game developer has opened a new studio in Edinburgh, Scotland to help deliver entire games, co-development and technological problem-solving.

Edinburgh, UK - 19 August 2024 - One of the UK’s longest-standing video game development companies, Climax Studios, a Keywords Studio, has officially opened a new location in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Climax Studios’ Scottish facilities will offer co-development services for AAA video game projects, working alongside some of the biggest and most recognisable names in the games industry such as Microsoft and Sony. Best known for their co-development work on titles such as Returnal and Age of Empire IV, Climax Studios is a significant player in the AAA games market, working on a number of award-winning franchises. 

Having built up their Edinburgh-based team over the past few months, Climax Studios will continue to recruit for roles to support the new location, bolster skillsets and better collaborate with partners. Climax Studios is focused on engineering and programming talent to strengthen the Edinburgh team, finding and training the best of the games industry to support and develop projects.
