Job Overview:
As a Live Operations Producer at Smoking Gun Interactive (SGI), you’re an experienced team leader with excellent communication skills, and expertise in managing projects, priorities, schedules, and team members. You work with the client and leads to define the live release roadmap, drive development with the internal team, and ensure deliveries are on time, within budget, and to high quality. You have proven experience adapting plans quickly when needs and requirements change. Additionally, you serve as the main point of contact with external clients and can communicate the project status and identify potential risks clearly at any time. You have robust experience producing and releasing updates for live PC and mobile titles in the game industry.
*Whilst this position is being offered on a hybrid basis, we are only able to consider applicants who are located in the BC area, willing to travel at least once a month to downtown Vancouver or open to relocate to the BC area.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 CAD

Experience & Requirements
In this role, you will:
- Manage a multi-release roadmap and development for a live game, meeting defined budgets, schedules, and quality targets;
- Create release milestone schedules to build new features and get buy in from the client for the plan;
- Continually drive the development of the game and ensure features are high quality;
- Be the main point of contact for and maintain an excellent working relationship with the client;
- Adapt plans quickly and cleanly to changing needs and requirements;
- Work with team members to ensure a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability for quality and timelines;
- Identify risks, mitigate them, and communicate issues and proposed solutions clearly, internally and externally;
- Create and maintain project management documents including status reports, project plans, etc;
- Mentor junior production staff, as needed;
- Be open and willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Live Ops Producer in PC and mobile games.
- Experience with at least 2 shipped titles in a producer role;
- Strong grounding in project management practices and agile development, with hands-on experience using tools such as Jira (ADO, Excel Dev, Test Dev, etc.);
- Demonstrated experience working with external clients or partners, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and delivery alignment;
- A natural ability to be highly responsible, self-directed, and detail-oriented, with a strong drive to contribute to a creative environment;
- Ability to manage and run effective live operations for released games, including the ability to adapt plans if needed;
- Proven ability to be self-sufficient and proactive in organizing and prioritizing tasks;
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and client-management skills.
