We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple Latin American and Castilian Spanish audio description projects through all phases of production. This role requires managing client logistics while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of Spanish-language audio description (AD) content for blind and visually impaired audiences.
- Schedule and track project milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding deliverables and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal audio teams to maintain quality and consistency across all AD outputs.
- Recruit and onboard Spanish-language AD writers and quality control specialists.
- Recruit and onboard Spanish-language voice talent.
- Partner closely with AD writers and consultants to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Review and provide feedback on Spanish AD scripts.
- Guide remote audio recording sessions as needed.
- Manage back-end systems for client-specific platforms and applications.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing Spanish-language AD projects.
- Deep understanding of AD guidelines, practices, and trends in both Latin America and Spain.
- Bachelor’s degree in digital audio production, sound design, or a related field.
- Strong awareness of issues affecting blind and low vision communities, with a commitment to accessible and innovative solutions.
- Well-established network within the Latin American and Spanish media/entertainment and AD industries.
- Strong connections with accessibility advocacy organizations in Latin America.
- Practical experience in audio engineering, including familiarity with recording/mixing tools and delivery formats.
- Outstanding cross-cultural communication skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent time management and a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Native fluency in spoken and written Spanish, with advanced linguistic expertise.
- Professional-level fluency in English.
