Recording Studio Manager Brazil & Mexico

Working on a worldwide basis, we provide a range of linguistic, testing, and quality control services to Video Game Developers and Publishers alike.
The Recording Studio Manager oversees the whole recording studio for Mexico & Brazil and takes care of the local audio production. Also, the Recording Studio Manager, reporting to the Recording Studio Operations Director in a specific area, will collaborate with the Recording Studios team as part of Globalize in defining the local strategy and implementing it. The scope includes recording studio management, facility management, recording team management, recording studio utilization and strategy to improve it, support to Portfolio Directors, customer facing and selling, dialogue with actors and local unions, external freelancers management, and expansion of studio facility for future business growth. The Recording Studio Manager works closely with all locations and contribute to the growth of Keywords group.
Operational
- Oversee all the activities of the recording studio facility in the assigned location/s,
- Monitor and schedule all ongoing Audio Projects,
- Support Portfolio Director and Production Managers in the successful execution of projects,
- Act as a promoter to implement procedures to increase productivity and efficiency in the assigned location/s in alignment with global strategy and targets,
- Monitor specific KPIs for efficiency,
- Implement global practises and workflow,
- Negotiate with vendors and actors according to Globalize requirements and specs.
Team Management
- Manage & support direct reports to monitor and motivate the department,
- Set team and individual goals and monitor efficiency with the available tools,
- Give regular performance feedback,
- Implement KPIs and efficiency,
- Provide leadership and mentoring in, project planning, resource forecasting and performance/personnel issues to all audio Project Managers,
- Attract, retain and help growth the best talent inside audio loc department.
Financial Management
- Ensure the department internal and external costs are on budget,
- Create proper analysis on costs and staff costs versus customers budget/portfolio budget forecast in a yearly basis and perform monthly updates supporting Financial Manager,
- Regularly review margins of the department and report results and discrepancies
- Analyse cost versus productivity,
- Partner with all key stakeholders to make sure that project quotes, clients’ price list and rates are approved, available and expectations are met,
- Ensure the local studio strategy meets the Globalize targets.
Experience & Requirements
- +6 years’ experience in the Audio department,
- +5 years’ experience in team management and facility management,
- Very good communication skills – in English
- Knowledge of the production tools,
- Knowledge of the gaming industry,
- Ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced gaming environment,
- Problem solving approach and decision maker,
- Analytical skills,
- Business travel availability required,
- Team management skills and leadership skills.
