About the Role:

The Senior Trainer – L&D is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality soft skills and behavioural training programs. This role involves creating learning content, including e-learning modules, and managing the administration of the LMS.

As a learning ambassador, the Senior Trainer fosters a strong learning culture by collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to identify training needs. Also work with external vendors to align learning objectives and oversee end-to-end training coordination. Additionally, drive and facilitate training programs both internally and externally, ensuring effective execution and engagement.

Experience & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

A.     Content Development & Learning Design

  • Design and develop engaging, interactive training content, including e-learning modules, presentations, guides, and job aids.
  • Utilize e-learning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Canva, Camtasia, and others to create high-quality learning materials.
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to simplify complex concepts and make learning accessible.
  • Deploy, test, and manage training content on Lakshya’s LMS (Moodle) to ensure a seamless learner experience.
  • Monitor and analyse training completion rates, learners’ engagement, and feedback to enhance content effectiveness.
  • Continuously update and optimize learning materials based on evolving business needs and industry best practices.
  • B.      Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Conduct both virtual and in-person training sessions, ensuring high engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Apply interactive training techniques, including role-playing, case studies, and scenario-based learning.
  • Adapt training styles to accommodate different learning preferences and audience needs.
  • Evaluate learner performance and training effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and post-training analysis.
  • C.    Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, adult learning principles, and emerging learning technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR, and other stakeholders to assess training needs and develop learning solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Engage with external vendors to drive learning objectives and ensure the quality of outsourced training programs.
  • Collect feedback from learners and stakeholders, using insights to improve training content and delivery.
  • Support learning initiatives that foster a culture of continuous development across the organization.
  • Periodical reporting on training programs status, risks, mitigation, efficacy and assist stakeholders in decision making.
  • D.   Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools (Articulate Storyline, Canva, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with LMS platforms, preferably Moodle, and SCORM-compliant content.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for content creation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to details and administrative abilities, analytical mindset, and ability to measure training effectiveness.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under tight timelines.
  • E.    Education & Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is mandatory; a degree in Psychology, Social Science, HR, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or a related field, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Trainer.
  • Certifications in e-learning tools, instructional design, or training methodologies (preferred).
  • F.    Other Requirements:

    • Open to travel on short notice. Overall, travel needs are moderate.
    • This is Work from office only position (5 days a week).
