We are looking for an experienced and talented, UK based Lighting Artist with the ability to conceive, create and contribute to the team creating innovative experiences via artistic visuals and you'll be based out of our new state of the art studio located in the heart of the beautiful Albert Dock in the city centre of Liverpool.

Experience & Requirements

  • To work with our design and technical art teams to create balanced and atmospheric lighting for in game environments and cinematics.
  • Understand the composition and the ability to enhance game environments and locations through lighting.
  • Create lighting related visual and post effects.
  • Maintain and ensure runtime performance and optimization
  • To enhance the project's mood and tell stories through lighting.

Requirements

  • Experience using Maya.
  • Extensive experience using Unreal 4 / 5.
  • Extensive experience e of 2D packages such as Photoshop/Substance.
  • A solid understanding of Shaders and materials.
  • A minimum of 2 years of lighting experience on a AAA project.
  • Knowledge in a variety of baked and real time lighting methods.
  • Strong Environment or Tech art background.
  • Creative and self motivated.
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills.
  • An artistic education to at least graduate level.
  • Strong folio including examples of realistic modelling and environment.
