One of our Australia studios is seeking a Lead Artist for one of our Brisbane studios.
As a Lead Artist for Concept, you will lead and be responsible for putting together a style guide for a team of 2D Artists.

Experience & Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Skilled standardizing for Concept sketches that are realistic in style for both background and character art
- Knowledge of 3Dcoat, Zbrush or other software that increase productivity is an asset
- Has team spirit leading the team members toward cooperation while actively providing support
- Exhibits intermediate capability to guide and assist junior artists.
- Has Game art experience: Motivated and passionate about game art, good understanding of AAA requirements
- Demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness, good time management, rigor, and a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and train a high-caliber squad of 2D Artists
- Demonstrate great versatility and great talent in terms of concept and illustration skills from rough sketches to fully rendered pieces that match industry AAA standards
- Work closely with the Art Director to ensure the growth and wellness of our teams and projects
- Be an active mentor and role model for the art team, working to maintain morale and create an atmosphere of creativity and enthusiasm
- Collaborate with directors, managers, and other development partners to define project goals and action plans
- Collaborate with project and art producers to identify and resolve art workflow and staffing issues
- Communicate and regularly update the status and progress of deliverables
- Manage bug reports, priority-setting, allocation, and correction
- Work effectively within the technical and project constraints while creating in a variety of visual styles
- Participate in artistic validation sessions to ensure high artistic quality
- Determine and help the team respect deadlines established with the production department
- Perform other duties as required
